Grip Size Guide
A properly sized grip gives you better control and reduces unnecessary hand tension.
How to Check Your Grip Size
Hold the racket normally. There should be approximately one finger’s width between your fingertips and the base of your palm.
| Hand Size | Recommended Setup |
|---|---|
| Small | Original grip only or one thin overgrip |
| Medium | Original grip plus one overgrip |
| Large | Original grip plus two overgrips |
| Extra Large | Build-up grip plus one or more overgrips |
It is usually easier to make a grip thicker by adding an overgrip than to reduce an oversized grip.
Overgrip Guide
Choose an overgrip according to your comfort and playing conditions.
| Overgrip Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Tacky | Strong grip and a secure feel |
| Absorbent | Sweaty hands and humid conditions |
| Cushioned | Additional comfort and vibration reduction |
| Thin | Better racket feedback and control |
| Thick | Larger grip size and softer handling |
Replace your overgrip when it becomes slippery, damaged or uncomfortable.
Wristband Guide
| Wrist Size | Recommended Wristband |
|---|---|
| Small wrist | Standard stretch wristband |
| Medium wrist | Standard or adjustable wristband |
| Large wrist | High-stretch or adjustable wristband |
PADELEX wristbands use flexible material designed to fit most adult wrist sizes.
Wrist Strap Guide
The racket wrist strap should fit securely without restricting movement.
- It should remain around the wrist during play.
- It should not slide over the hand when gently pulled.
- Adjustable straps should be tightened until secure but comfortable.
- Replace the strap when the stitching, cord or attachment point becomes damaged.
